Veolia Environmental Services offers marine specialty services to support industry in the world’s oceans, the Great Lakes and other inland waterways. These are services that go beyond the routine to solve atypical challenges in marine environments—from emergency response and diesel fuel, hazmat or oil spill response (OSRO) and cleanup to lead paint removal or unexploded ordnance management.

Advanced Technology to Complete Hazardous Projects and Provide Emergency Response

Veolia combines the expertise of skilled managers and experienced commercial divers with state-of-the-art technology to answer the call in situations that require a fast response, such as natural disasters or chemical spills. 

Veolia marine projects are supported by advanced technologies and equipment, including:

  • 1,000-foot rated, 10 and 12-person Saturation Dive (SAT) systems
  • Four ocean-going support vessels—the Kingfisher, the Swordfish, the Viking Poseidon and the Normand Pacific—providing dive support, remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) support and multi-purpose support for marine projects
  • Work-class ROVs and Inspection-class ROVs
  • Original equipment design and manufacturing capabilities to build or adapt equipment for unique tasks in marine environments

Veolia Environmental Services provides speciality services for marine and land environments, including:

  • Abatement services for lead, asbestos, hazardous animal waste and mold
  • Emergency response services for situations involving explosives, chemicals, biological agents or natural disasters
  • Diver-assisted dredging for hard-to-reach areas where traditional dredging is not possible
  • Remediation services for brownfield redevelopment, decontamination, decommissioning, marine remediation, mine reclamation, site stabilization and excavation
  • Water treatment systems to separate dredged materials such as petrochemical contaminants from water
  • Mechanical sludge dewatering
